At Balcarres Community School, ensuring our students have a safe journey to and from school is our top priority. As part of the Prairie Valley School Division (PVSD), we operate reliable bus services designed to get students to school safely and ready to learn.
Weather & Cancellations
Our division monitors weather through the Fort Qu'Appelle Tower.

Cancellation Criteria: Services are typically cancelled if temperatures reach -40°C (without wind chill) or -45°C (with wind chill) by 6:00 AM.

Notifications: Cancellations are posted to the PVSD website by 6:30 AM. Families will also be notified via School Messenger.

Afternoon Runs: Should morning buses be cancelled due to cold, afternoon service will resume if the weather improves, providing return trips for students who were able to be dropped off at school.

New Students: You can apply for bus services when initially registering for classes at our school.
