Cell Phone Policy

At Balcarres Community School, we are committed to the learning and well-being of all our students. To ensure a safe and effective learning environment, we expect staff and students to model socially responsible and respectful behaviors when using personal electronic devices.

In alignment with the Government of Saskatchewan and Prairie Valley School Division procedures, we have implemented the following guidelines to protect instructional time and foster a focused classroom atmosphere.

Key Guidelines

  • No Use During Class: Students in K-12 may not use personal electronic devices—including phones, tablets, or gaming systems—during instructional time.

  • Off and Away: Devices must be turned off or set to silent and stored out of sight.

  • Privacy First: Device use is strictly prohibited in washrooms, change rooms, and private office areas.

  • School Liability: BCS and PVSD are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal devices.
