Elders Program

Prairie Valley School Division (PVSD) incorporates Elders and Knowledge Keepers into schools to support Treaty education, student well-being, and reconciliation. These initiatives focus on building relationships with local First Nations and Métis communities, fostering cultural understanding through traditional teachings.

 

Balcarres Community School has a dedicated Elders Program, which often includes classroom visits, traditional teachings, and guidance for students and staff.
