Attendance

Regular and punctual attendance is a vital part of student success, and we believe it is necessary for students to maximize their learning and achievement. We value a collaborative approach between the school and home to support our students in being present and engaged every day.

Communicating Absences

When a student needs to be away, we ask that parents or guardians provide prior notice of the absence to the school office or on Edsby. This helps us ensure student safety and allows teachers to better support continued learning.

Supporting Regular Attendance

We monitor attendance closely so we can provide early intervention and support when needed. Our goal is to investigate reasons for non-attendance with a focus on prevention. To support regular attendance, our School Outreach Liaisons work to help students feel a sense of place and belonging by strengthening the links between the school, families, and the community.
